Eastern National Belonging Update
Last year, Eastern National announced that, along with Western National Parks Association (WNPA), we are a recipient of a grant from the National Park Foundation’s Strong Parks, Strong Communities program to support justice, equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging (JEDI&B) efforts that will strengthen our organizations, and the park partner community. Since then, we have developed a Belonging Strategy to ensure all EN team members feel welcome in the workplace, to serve as the foundation for promoting a culture of inclusion in all aspects of mission delivery.

EN and El Yunque National Forest Win 2023 Partnership Award for Innovative Product
The Public Lands Alliance 2023 Partnership Award for Innovative Product has been awarded to Eastern National and El Yunque National Forest for the Adopt-A-Parrot Plush. This award recognizes an interpretive product created in partnership by a nonprofit organization and a land management agency that embodies a path-breaking approach to achieve a public lands mission.

Eastern National Resumes Custom Publications Reprints
We’re happy to announce we’ve resumed our custom publishing reprints program after being on hold for two years. This year the Creative team is working to reprint at least 30 EN publications.

Eastern National Board Elects Two New Members
Eastern National is pleased to announce that Jennifer Wofford and Stan Austin have recently joined EN’s board of directors. EN’s board steers the organization toward a sustainable future by adopting sound, ethical, and legal governance and financial management policies, as well as by making sure EN has adequate resources to advance its mission. Volunteer board members may serve up to two four-year terms.
