Eastern National Board Elects Two New Members

Eastern National is pleased to announce that Jennifer Wofford and Stan Austin have recently joined EN’s board of directors. EN’s board steers the organization toward a sustainable future by adopting sound, ethical, and legal governance and financial management policies, as well as by making sure EN has adequate resources to advance its mission. Volunteer board members may serve up to two four-year terms.

Jennifer Wofford works at ArcBest, a leading logistics and transportation company. She began her career at ArcBest in roles that provided logistics management to global customers to unify their supply chains through a holistic approach. She currently serves as an employee experience trainer in which she designs and facilitates leadership development opportunities for current and emerging leaders. Prior to beginning her career in transportation and logistics, she spent 14 years in law enforcement. Jennifer holds a B.S. in Organizational Leadership from Northeastern State University and an M.A. in Organizational Leadership with a certification in Executive and Workplace Coaching from Harding University.

Stan Austin recently retired from a career of federal service that began at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency where he served in a variety of management positions for more than 10 years.  Stan began his National Park Service career at Gateway National Recreation Area. Future positions included deputy superintendent of Rocky Mountain NP, superintendent of Glen Canyon NRA, acting deputy superintendent at Yosemite NP, superintendent at Cuyahoga Valley NP, and regional director for the Pacific Northwest and Southeast Regions. Stan’s last assignment was regional director in the Southeast, America’s most visited NPS region. Stan oversaw 73 parks spanning 4 million acres in the southeast, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The region has 2700 employees, hosts 43,000 volunteers, and nearly 69 million visitors who contribute more than $6 billion to local economies annually.
