Eastern National’s Board of Directors elected a new member during its January board meeting. William (Bill) G. McKendree was elected for a six year term effective January 30, 2018.

“We are very pleased that Bill has joined our Board of Directors,” said Board Chair George Minnucci. “Bill’s professional expertise in developing and implementing long-term strategy adds an invaluable voice to our board and helps Eastern National further our strategic goals during a very exciting time for the organization.”

Founder of the Clarion Group, Mr. McKendree is an expert in areas of organizational design, strategy development and implementation, management process development, and creating executive alignment. During a career spanning over 30 years, he has had diverse experience as a line executive managing large complex businesses and working as a strategic internal consultant. In a previous role he was vice president of a world-renowned corporate training and development institute with $150 million in annual revenue. As a consultant, he has worked extensively with CEOs and executive groups across industries. His experience enables him to work with executives on a wide range of issues, from the mechanics of business to the nuances of leadership style.

Until recently, he served as chair of The Westerly Hospital (Westerly, RI), Trustee of The Westerly Land Trust, and Chair of The Ocean Community United Theatre.  He was also Vice Chair of Outward Bound USA.  He is currently on the Board of The Daily Gazette and serves as a trustee of The Living Supplies Closet. He holds a B.S. in geology from Skidmore College and an MBA, M.Ed., and Masters in Organization Behavior from the University of Vermont.

As of January 30, 2018 Dr. G. Jay Gogue, Ph.D., and Michael A. Walker, Esq. have completed their terms on the Board of Directors. Eastern National thanks them for their dedicated service and commitment.
