Eastern National Embraces SkillBridge: A Success Story with Kaitlynne Kwietniak

Eastern National is proud to partner with the Department of Defense (DoD) SkillBridge program. This initiative connects transitioning service members with valuable civilian work experience during their last six months of active duty. We’re thrilled to have had Kaitlynne Kwietniak work alongside our Human Resources team, made possible by this program. Kaitlynne thrived in our HR department by leveraging her strong work ethic and transferable skills honed in the military.

Kaitlynne’s internship provided her with a comprehensive understanding of core HR functions. She’s gained experience across the employee lifecycle, from recruitment to development. She assisted recruitment efforts through candidate sourcing and interviewing to help fill positions with the best candidates. She also delved into benefits administration to learn about employee benefits packages and their importance in attracting and retaining talent.

Kaitlynne has been involved in the performance review process, gaining insights into employee development and performance management. She’s also been exposed to the world of Training and Development, including understanding how organizations create and deliver training programs to equip employees with the skills they need to succeed. Kaitlynne’s positive attitude, willingness to learn, and quick grasp of HR concepts have made her a tremendous asset to our team. Kaitlynne has gone above and beyond by communicating our company culture through LinkedIn to shine a great light on Eastern National for prospective employees.

The SkillBridge program has proven to be highly effective. Kaitlynne’s contributions have been instrumental, and her experience showcases the value this program offers interns and organizations. Seeing the success of this year’s partnership, Eastern National is excited to announce our intent to expand the SkillBridge program next year.

We’re looking forward to welcoming three new interns and providing them with the opportunity to gain valuable experience while transitioning to civilian careers.
