Eastern National Welcomes Susan Schroeder to Board of Directors
Eastern National’s Board of Directors elected a new member during its winter board meeting. Susan Schroeder joined the board for a six-year term effective February 12, 2019.
“Susan makes a wonderful addition to our Board of Directors,” said Board Chair Deb Yandala. “The professional expertise and experience that Susan brings to the board will help Eastern National achieve our strategic goals and continue to meet the ever-changing needs of our park partners.”
Ms. Schroeder currently leads the Grand Canyon Conservancy (GCC), where she has served as CEO since 2008. Her knowledge and experience in organizational development, fundraising, strategic planning, and nonprofit governance led to significant organizational growth to support the mission of the GCC.
Prior to taking the helm at the GCC, Ms. Schroeder spent 18 years at Northern Arizona University, where she held leadership positions supporting environmental and fundraising initiatives. She currently sits on the board of the Northern Arizona Leadership Alliance, the advisory board of the Arizona Community Foundation of Flagstaff, and the steering committee of the National Park Friends Alliance. She holds a bachelor of science in natural resources and environmental studies from Utah State University.
On February 12, 2019, Deb Yandala was selected as the new board chair for EN. Deb replaces George Minnucci, who has completed his term on the Board of Directors. We thank George for his years of dedicated service to the organization.
