EN Hosts Training for NPS and Cooperating Associations in Philadelphia
More than 100 representatives from the National Park Service and cooperating associations came together in Philadelphia to participate in “Cooperating Association Partnerships for a New Century,” an interactive training co-hosted by the National Park Service and Eastern National, on April 10-12.
Participants enjoyed a robust agenda that focused on how parks and their cooperating association partners could draw upon one another’s expertise and cultures to strengthen collaborative efforts. “It was absolutely priceless to spend two and a half days with our partners outside the parks,” reports Stacy Madalena, director of retail – south at Eastern National, “I came away with so many big ideas that will probably keep me busy for the next two years!”
In addition to the interactive sessions and networking, highlights for attendees included an interpretive chocolate tasting with Chocolate Historian David Borghesani of American Heritage Chocolates and an evening tour of the Benjamin Franklin Museum at Independence National Historical Park.
