Quarterly Strategic Plan Update: Spring 2018

Quarterly Strategic Plan Update: Spring 2018

At the halfway mark of our three year Strategic Plan, Eastern National has made some exciting strides toward our goals in the first part of 2018! These accomplishments are helping us strengthen our foundation to accelerate mission delivery and growth.

We had a busy winter season as we worked on our People goal to Adjust Field Reporting. Evaluating and altering legacy reporting structures will streamline our internal workflow, increase capacity, and make us a more effective partner. New positions created through this phase of reorganization include chief operating officer, a second systems administrator, two assistant regional managers, and a second director of retail.

Our IT team has been hard at work helping us move toward our Operations goal to Strengthen Infrastructure. We have begun implementing Office 365 which will improve communication, collaboration, and efficiency across the organization. A cloud-based technology, Office 365 lays a crucial foundation for upcoming improvements to retail operations and reporting.

Under the umbrella of Finance, Eastern National is moving toward our goal to Increase Financial Return by developing programs that will sustain future growth. This includes introducing new products to our signature Passport To Your National Parks® line.

This April, Eastern National will co-host a National Park Service training session called “Cooperating Association Partnerships for a New Century,” helping us meet our Partnerships goal of Developing Training Programs. Eastern National’s participation is helping to expand support and resources for parks across the entire system, including those that partner with other cooperating associations..

Stay tuned for the next Strategic Plan update in the June issue of the ENformer!
